Trichoderma

In the Chinese language, Trichoderma is described as a wood mold – 木霉 。 The character for mold (霉) contains two parts. The upper one means rain (雨), the lower indicates repeated occurrence (每). Thus, the Chinese name of the fungus reflects its ecology: every time on wood after rain.
